If you want to know which US president shares the same political views and personality traits as you, take this presidential personality quiz now.

The United States has had 46 presidents up to 2024, with the first election in 1789. What we want to know, however, is which of these great leaders has the same personality and political attitude as you. In other words, we want to reveal which US president you are with a quiz.

Most presidential personality tests out there focus on your personality. But that’s not what we do here. We consider a combination of your political party, vision, ideologies, and attributes to determine which elected head of the country you represent.

You need not be a US history expert to take the President Personality Test. The questions seek to reveal your thoughts and opinions regarding US policies while trying to expose hidden aspects of your personality.

If you wonder how we created the test, here’s a brief rundown. We compiled a list of the most iconic US presidents, highlighting their achievements, failures, and personality traits. (For instance, Abraham Lincoln was highly empathetic based on how he treated his opposers.) We then asked fifteen questions to match your personality with high accuracy to those of these leaders. For example, we asked about your views on current abortion ban laws, as each president would have a distinct opinion.

The following table shows how we analyzed each US leader’s personality.

US President Greatest Achievement Biggest Failure Iconic Personality Traits
George Washington Establishing the new federal government and precedents for the presidency. Struggles with the Jay Treaty. Honorable and reliable.
Thomas Jefferson Louisiana Purchase, which doubled the size of the U.S. Embargo Act of 1807, which hurt the economy. Intellect and visionary.
Abraham Lincoln Emancipation Proclamation and Presence of the Union. Initial mismanagement of the Civil War. Honest and empathetic.
Theodore Roosevelt Trust-busting and establishing national parks. Controversies surrounding imperialist policies. Charismatic and energetic.
Franklin D. Roosevelt New Deal programs that helped recover from the Great Depression. Internment of Japanese Americans during WWII. Determined and optimistic.
Harry S. Truman Marshall Plan and NATO creation. Use of atomic bombs on Japan. Decisive and straightforward.
John F. Kennedy Handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bay of Pigs invasion failure. Charming and eloquent.
