Marvel Rivals launched with an extensive roster of characters, each from Marvel’s legendary comics and movies. Like Overwatch, Marvel Rivals categorizes these characters into three roles: Vanguard (Tank), Strategist (Support), and Duelist (DPS).
Unlike some hero shooters, Marvel Rivals doesn’t lock you into any role, and your team can have any mix of Vanguards, Strategists, and Duelists. But if you want to compete at a higher level, it’s smart to pick a main role and master a few heroes within it. Specialized players often have a bigger impact than those who pick randomly each match.
