Christmas Trivia Quiz Will Help You Know More About it
Christmas starts in the winter with all the snow, and therefore, this is one reason why people buy evergreen trees and bring them to their houses. So that they used it as a sign of everlasting life with God and made them think of the spring to come. Along with the Christmas tree, we have the most popular character, Santa Claus, also known as Father Christmas, who is said to bring gifts to the homes of well-behaved children at night. Under the tree is a place where Santa hides the presents. The decorative cloth at the base of the tree where the gifts are usually placed on it is called a tree skirt!
Like every other traditional event, Christmas has some special foods and desserts. Traditional Christmas dinner features turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and vegetables.
For dessert, pudding or fruitcake are the staples. Incidentally, for this dessert, there is a special day that Christmas pudding is traditionally prepared, and it’s called stir-up Sunday. On this day, families gather together in their homes to mix and steam the pudding. Parents teach their children how to mix ingredients for the pudding. Everyone takes a turn to stir the pudding mix, for each person involved can make a special wish for the year ahead.
Another thing that serves especially in this festive season is a creamy alcoholic drink named “Eggnog.” Throughout Canada and the United States, eggnog is traditionally consumed from late November until the end of Christmas.
